You will serve as a Customer Advocate in the UNMANNED & THEATER USW SYSTEMS DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. As a Customer Advocate you will manage customer relationships with Program Office Partners to negotiate requirements, funding and scheduling. You will work with department leadership including Resource Managers and Technical Project Managers to execute tasking. You will participate in department strategic and business planning.

Duties

You will serve as a Customer Advocate in the Project Office of the Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department. You will negotiate and manage tasking from multiple Program Office Partners relating to Unmanned Undersea Systems and/or Theater Undersea Warfare Command and Control Systems. You will develop Program Office partner requirements into executable plans and projects for accomplishing tasks. You will establish milestones and metrics for monitoring and assessing cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned portfolio. You will serve as a senior advisor to provide expert advice to Department leadership on the execution of projects and to Command and Department leadership on strategic alignment for future programmatic needs.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13 and GS-14 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or managing programs, systems development efforts, or test and evaluation initiatives for undersea systems.
