This position is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the Business and Technology Division.

Duties

Serve as the primary contact for fleet of General Services Administration (GSA) leased and National Park Service (NPS) owned motor vehicles and equipment. Assist the park with GSA and coordinates services between the two entities. Serves as the primary park coordinator for all required Financial and Business Management System (FBMS) standing work orders associated with NPS-owned vehicles and equipment. Works with region to develop a vehicle/vessel/equipment replacement program for the park. Responsible for maintaining license plates/vehicle identification number (VIN) data in Federal Motor Vehicle Registration System (FMVRS). Ensures vehicle recalls are submitted to divisions and parks end ensures issues are corrected. Manages warehouse operations including but not limited to: receiving, storing, verifying shipments, and resolving discrepancies to the appropriate division. Keep current inventory of keys, cores, and locks. Issues keys with proper authorization. Coordinates that cores are configured for keys that are cut and issued as needed.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position performs motor vehicle operator duties, and a valid driver's license is required by entry-on-duty, and you must be able to maintain that license as a condition of employment. To meet this screen-out, provide a copy of your driver's license or permit and/or license information in your application. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. (Screen-out) - AND - To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS- grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: (1) maintaining asset management databases; (2) preparing reports; (3) updating work order cost estimates; (4)analyzing report data to ensure accuracy; (5) coordinating and conducting assessment surveys, asset inventories, and/or condition assessments; (6) and/or providing administrative support pertaining to the collection of data (i.e. equipment and feature inventories and specification templates); (7) warehouse management along with key and core creation, distribution, and record management. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
