Duties
Serves as a Prevention Program Specialist in the Substance Assessment and Program (SACP) Section, Behavioral Programs Branch, Marine and Family Programs Division, Headquarters Marine Corps. Serves as the principal advisor for oversight and development of various substance misuse prevention training programs to include research of unit level operations; critical assessment and training evaluation processes and procedures, and development and conduct of training curricula that provides specific and measurable learning objectives.

Qualifications
Bachelor¿s (Master¿s preferred) Degree in a Behavioral Health field or other appropriate field relating to Substance Misuse Prevention is required AND three years of experience that demonstrates extensive knowledge of substance misuse prevention. Ability to act as a responsible point of contact to ensure development of the substance misuse prevention program to include: research of operations; critical assessment and training evaluation processes and procedures, and development and conduct of training curricula that provides specific and measurable learning objectives. Must have comprehensive knowledge of substance misuse, prevention strategies, and appropriate services. Skill to establish and maintain effective relationships with, and gain confidence and cooperation of supervisors and managers to accept proposals on complex issues; organize and communicate effectively orally and in writing at briefings and training sessions, with VIP's, media representatives and in professional conferences and training workshops to encourage understanding and acceptance of programming. Skill to review, modify, develop, and implement substance misuse prevention and intervention programs that are timely, relevant to military commanders' needs, flexible and sustainable in execution. Skill to conduct presentations, and deliver education and training using a variety of techniques and methods on substance misuse prevention. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Power Point, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Preferred overall knowledge of HQMC¿s Substance Assessment and Counseling Program (SACP) (Clinical, Drug Demand Reduction, Alcohol Prevention) operating procedures and command inspections. Knowledge of computers to input and retrieve data, process documents through word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets. Knowledge of the military structure and military environment preferred. Telework: Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MF policy.
