About the Position: This position is located at the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistic Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Perform inventories of footwear/clothing on hand and in warehouse.
Operate foot measuring device which indicates size of feet.
Check fit of boots/shoes and reissues if fit is determined improper.
Document discrepant/deficient shipments.
Select proper boots/shoes from stock.
Classify used clothing items being returned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 pounds in the regular performance of duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Boot/Shoe Fitter~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Boot/Shoe Fitter duties to include: 1) Checking stock contents for sizes and quantities; AND 2) receiving, storing, and issuing footwear or clothing items. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Effort: Incumbent performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas requiring standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently required to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally required to lift and carry heavier, bulkier items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Usually works in shops or other enclosed areas that are adequately lighted, ventilated and heated. Work may be dirty, dusty and greasy. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises and noise from sewing machines. Is also subject to strains and injury from lifting and handling heavy stock.
