Duties

As a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER - Title 32, WL-8268-10, you will serve as a working leader over three or more technicians on the evening shift. Base level of work in the function is WG-8268-10.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with sufficient knowledge to complete the work of this occupational series. Experience or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to lead other technicians engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, to qualify for the WL-10 level, you must have at least 24 months experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
