You will serve as a Supv IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Duties

You will serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). You will validate and ensure compliance for command Cybersecurity (CS) activities. You will provide assistance to System Owners with network/computer security and risk management planning. You will administer network accreditation processes for the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Bath ME (SSBA). You will maintain records of system accreditation status, develop reports and alerts System Owners when accreditation documentation must be updated. You will ensure enforcement of DOD, DON, NAVSEA, and local CS regulatory requirements and policies for existing IT resources. You will provide oversight of CS awareness training for command users. You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-02 (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with planning, analysis, development, implementation, or maintenance and enhancement of information system security programs, policies, procedures and tools for the local and remote command networked systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
