Duties

As a Supply Technician, responsibilities would include requisitioning, receipt, issuing, inventory and accountability of a wide variety of materials, equipment, and supplies such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, a wide range of spare parts, and other miscellaneous items, many of a technical nature; and maintaining motor vehicle records. Implementing procedures of Financial and Fleet Property automated database applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate in your resume that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying. To qualify for the GS-07: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service performing duties in relation to warehouse and supply chain operations, such as: 1) Overseeing deliveries and outgoing shipments of supplies and merchandise for a business warehouse or storage facility; 2) Cataloging property utilization or other related supply activities; 3) Using supply chain management software tools to monitor stock quantities or to track inventory; 4) Maintaining organized records of distributed supplies and/or stored equipment and materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the Federal service (GS-06). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
