About the position: This position will be assigned to the Aero Club, Air Force Academy, Colorado.
This position does not include benefits.
Variable schedules.
(Schedule 1) - 1 AM- hours to be determine and (Scheduled 2) - 1 PM- hours to be determine.
Duties
Assists Aero Club Manager and Operations Manager with routine administrative tasks.
Uses work processing software and a variety of U.S. Air Force systems to produce a variety of documents.
Will create and update routine correspondence such as appointment letters or official memos.
Transmit and receive documents and messages electronically via email using personal computer that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area or organization.
Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files.
May upload or assist managers' schedules into the time system, (SETS), will input information and quotes into purchasing system (IBPS), Payment Tech for P-Card management and Orbital managed billing for billing requirements, and make deposits for an activity as needed.
Enters information into accounting system(s) (SAIS).
Assists in tracking internal tasks (suspenses) and open receivables.
Assists activities in property inventories and vehicle management.
Maintains safety and operations binders, assists and track the management inspection tool (MICT) for updates and inputs required.
Assists mangers in tracking employee training in the activity.
Will be required to drive to several facilities on base and off base to pick up deposits or assist management with shipping or deliveries.
Will be required to work a schedule as determined by the manager that may include opening and closing of the activity as well as receiving fuel deliveries as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
In addition to the above requirement, applicant is required to demonstrate possession of a high degree of proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques.
Must have sufficient computer skills to understand various systems and complete spreadsheets, word documents and input data into accounting and payroll systems.
Applicant must be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
May be required to work an uncommon duty schedule at times which could include holidays and weekends if necessary.
A broad understanding of flying activities, FAA and TSA compliance as well as applicable Air Force Operating Instructions is desirable.
This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete the applicable background investigations.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
