The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.
Duties
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Intelligence Council (NIC) consists of the most senior intelligence analysts supporting the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in carrying out responsibilities as the head of the Intelligence Community (IC) and as the principal adviser to the President for intelligence matters related to national security. The NIC produces a variety of all-source, IC coordinated intelligence reports, including its flagship product, the National Intelligence Estimate, which represents the Intelligence Community's most authoritative statement on a key national security issue.
Support the IC production of strategic analysis on global economic and financial issues, working as part of the NIO for Economic Issues team and with other regional and functional NIO teams. Effectively communicate analysis, make authoritative analytic assessments, and possess an enthusiasm for applying new methods to analytic problems.
Perform analytic and leadership duties designed to expand his or her scope of knowledge as well as take advantage of existing subject matter expertise.
Participate in Community-wide coordination of National Intelligence Estimates and other community analytic assessments such as Intelligence Community Assessments, National Intelligence Council Memoranda, and Sense of the Community Memoranda. Coordinate on executive level products and other assessments produced by the IC.
Represent the NIC in policy meetings and in briefings for policy customers, and members of Congress and Congressional staffers.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of background papers and briefing books for the DNI and PDDNI participation in Cabinet Meetings and National Security Council Principals; Committee and Deputies; Committee meetings.
Support engagement with policymakers and members of the Intelligence Community to ensure timely and appropriate NIC intelligence support to policymakers on economic issues as appropriate.
Assist in managing relationships with academia, the business community, and other non-government subject matter experts to ensure the IC has a comprehensive understanding of global economic and financial issues. Build and leverage diverse collaborative networks within the ODNI and across the IC. Maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, experts, IC members, members of the policy community as appropriate.

Oversee, coordinate, lead, and communicate comprehensive, sophisticated, and current analyses of complex and significant national, regional, and/or global issues for senior policymakers and key components in the Intelligence Community (IC), law enforcement, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Superior interpersonal, organizational, and management skills to work with and fairly represent the community when analytic views differ among agencies.
Exceptional communications skills, including ability to communicate with people at all levels of leadership and target knowledge, both inside and outside the organization, to give oral presentations and to otherwise represent the NIC in interagency meetings.
Superior critical thinking skills and the ability to draft and prepare finished intelligence assessments and other written products with emphasis on clear organization, and well-sourced and logical presentation.
Expert knowledge in at least one sub-field of economic issues/security, acquired through a combination of experience and education.
Expert flexibility and ability to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information and requirements.
Superior ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative environment.
Expert creative problem-solving skills and initiative in carrying out mission responsibilities.
Superior ability to apply expert knowledge of ODNI, IC organizations, and relevant customer organizations or operations (e.g., military, policymakers, and law enforcement), in order to effectively translate their requirements and provide appropriate output or responses to meet customer needs.
Bachelors' degree in economics, finance, or closely related discipline.
Desired Requirements:
Superior ability to express facts and complex ideas clearly, concisely, and accurately to a high-level community policy audiences.
A track record of effectively leading, communicating and making authoritative analytic assessments via written products and briefs.
Work experience in more than one sub-fields of economic issues security including but not limited to macroeconomic analysis, energy, financial markets, industry studies, regional and/or country specific economic analysis, threat (illicit) finance, sanctions, supply chain, techno-economic competition, and trade.
Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify collection issues and gaps.
Graduate level courses in economics, finance, or closely related discipline
Education
Bachelors' degree in economics, finance, or closely related discipline.
