You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Availability Integration Division, Modernization & Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will develop, analyze, evaluate, advise on, and improve the wholeness of Amphibious maintenance methods or distribution of work assignments, management controls, information, and documentation systems. You will provide management and coordination between all stakeholders (SSGC, NSWCs, Technical Division PAPM and Acquisition PAPM) to ensure all requirements for production and post-delivery testing are met. You will plan and execute the Post Delivery Test and Trials to provide a fully combat capable SCN Amphibious ship to the fleet. You will direct, plan, and execute the master SCN test schedule. Conduct a wide range and highly diverse cost, schedule, and performance industrial test activities related to amphibious ships. You will prepare a wide range of documentation to support shipboard industrial / at-sea testing and evaluations. You will assist in directing, planning, coordinating, and executing the Test and Evaluation Master Plans with service test agencies and various PHD specific events.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying electronics technician concepts and practices to support the in-service engineering, integration, development, or test and evaluation for new shipboard combat and weapon systems.
