This position is part of the Southwestern Power Administration. As a Regional Maintenance Manager, you will execute programs and projects relative to maintaining SWPA's high-voltage, electric power transmission system including Rights of Way (ROW), substations, switchyards, communication sites, certain U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) substations and switchyards, and other SWPA building and support facilities. **This is not a remote position.**

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in a high voltage electric power setting performing duties in operations, maintenance, engineering or construction disciplines which includes formal or informal leadership of work through other craft/wage grade/wage board employees. Examples of experience would be: 1) Replacements and additions to power system substations, high voltage transmission lines or other facilities; 2) Makes recommendations on remedial measures for the solution of complex electrical problems; and 3) Experience incorporating a data driven approach to planning and prioritization of maintenance and construction projects. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
