This vacancy is for a WG-6914-4, Store Worker located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, US COAST GUARD ACADEMY.

Duties

You will serve as a Store Worker and be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of uniform items and associated supplies for the uniform needs of Coast Guard men and women, cadets, active duty, reservist, auxiliarists, and authorized patrons, via over-the-counter sales transactions.

Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints) Knowledge of Materials Dexterity and Safety NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
