You will serve as a Security Assistant (OA) at the NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will perform a full range of standard and non-standard clerical and administrative duties to support the personnel security program.
You will perform security in-processing of all applicable personnel. In-processing includes verifying personnel security clearances using Defense Information System for Security or other applicable information systems.
You will serve as the fingerprint collection point of contact, and ensure fingerprints are scheduled for applicable personnel.
You will assist Security Specialists with the implementation and execution of personnel security matters in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, directives, and issuances
You will compose routine correspondence, maintain files, utilize numerous information resources, and provide status of projects relating to Security policies for the organization.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) performing various clerical duties in support of an agency Command Security Office 2) Preparing and/or maintaining security documents and records; 3) Utilizing office automation software to prepare reports in the correct format. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
