About the Position: This position is with the 377 Theater Sustainment Command, Operations and Training, 377 Mission Support Element located in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Formulate guidance and participate in conducting mobilization workshops for subordinate units in support of their mobilization mission. Develop standard training policies and procedures to meet the Command training needs. Prepare mobilization training documents for publication. Provide technical guidance to subordinate elements, higher headquarters, and general staff members on mobilization training plans. Analyze policy and guidance pertaining to training objectives and determine training needs for the Command. Conduct training for the command and subordinate unit personnel on the use of Army Training Requirements Reporting System (ATRRS). Conduct staff assistance visits and inspections to subordinate units to ensure data contained in the unit mobilization file is complete and accurate.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the development of operation and training support guidance; making recommendations on unit training and operations to maintain readiness status; and applying budgetary procedures to manage training resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, and Business Management and Administration. (Note: you must attach your transcripts with your application package). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and TrainingOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTeaching Others Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
