You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Depot Supply Branch, Supply and Services Division of MCRD ERR PI SC.

Duties

You will inspect, label, and collect all government property and equipment. You will maintain supporting documents for adjustments to property records per prescribed guidelines. You will perform causative research for inventory adjustments. You will use desk top computers and software packages to store, manipulate and retrieve data. You will accurately input and update asset information in the DPAS System, ensuring that all government property is correctly tracked and recorded. You will track the lifecycle of assets within DPAS, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring accurate documentation at each stage. You will produce and analyze reports from DPAS to monitor asset status, identify discrepancies, and support decision-making processes. You will facilitate the transfer of property between different supply accounts as installation support sections, tenant commands, and other units as required. You will manage all activity within the DPAS system, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. You will reconcile physical inventory counts with DPAS system records, investigating and resolving any inconsistencies. You will conduct regular FIAR audits within DPAS to ensure the accurateness/completeness of all property records. You will assist in preparing for and responding to internal/external audits. You will ensure that all property management activities adhere to the specific USMC regulations/guidelines associated with US Marine Corps Garrison property. You will brief management on the status, updates, or other business information regarding supplies or materials. You will ensure status of all accounts are briefed to supervisor and staff.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Supply Technician. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Providing accountability for equipment and government property: 2) Managing supply budget and expenditures; 3) Preparing and processing requisitions; and 4) Experience as a Government Card Holder.
