Duties
Build, maintain and repair structures and upkeep of project structures utilizing knowledge and skills in carpentry, concrete and masonry.
Implements approved plans, prepares and makes daily work assignments, maintain daily records on daily use of labor, equipment and materials for management.
Coordinate and supervise the activities of the work crew with effective use of shared equipment.
Supervise routine maintenance and non-routine rehabilitation of project canals, lateral structures, pipelines and drains.
Assist with planning and make recommendations for routine maintenance.
Operate, repair and maintain various heavy machinery and tools.

- The Incumbent is also required to possess a Class A CDL driver license.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualifications System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C, Qualification Standard Handbook) will be used in determining applicants' qualifications. There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate through the experience shown in your written resume and your responses to the Occupational Questionnaire that you possess the competencies to perform the duties of this position without more than normal supervision. As an Foreman II Equipment Operator, incumbent must have the ability to do the work without more than normal supervision: repair and replace irrigation structures and facilities in the distribution of water; supervised maintenance crews including equipment operators; able to make timely water deliveries; thorough knowledge of the methods and techniques of concrete work and repairing damaged areas; prepare technical scopes of work associated with maintenance projects.
BASIS OF RATING: The first job element is the screen-out element (Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision). Applicants who do not meet the minimum quality level of experience for this element will be rated ineligible and will receive no further consideration for this position.
