About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency AD Support, Research and Engineering, Research Support located in Silver Spring, MD.
Duties
Provide technical advice and guidance on issues necessary to develop policy recommendations, functional requirements, new criteria, methodology and plans.
Conduct special research projects, including gathering, compiling and analyzing information.
Develop policy and/or directive actions for issuance to insure implementation of plans, decisions, priorities, and other actions emanating from the sections.
Complete projects and perform studies requiring analysis of interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of substantive mission-oriented programs.
Participate as the VCE representative and/or technical member of committees, panels, or working groups.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Approximately 5% travel may be required.
- Incumbent must be able to acquire and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: developing and maintaining programmatic information on assigned programs and operational requirements; performs analytic/evaluative assignments; manage and coordinate program related activities during various lifecycle phases of the project/program.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
