The ideal candidate can supervise staff and manage workloads to ensure insurance requirements and issues are addressed in the development of Public Assistance grants. The individual will serve as a Supervisor of Insurance Specialists within the Public Assistance Consolidated Resource Center (CRC) West.

In this Supervisory Insurance Specialist position, you will be providing technical and administrative supervision for staff conducting insurance reviews for the Public Assistance grant program. You will be setting priorities, performance goals, and maintaining accountability for staff. Typical assignments include:

To qualify for this Supervisory Insurance Specialist position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Reviewing and/or interpreting commercial insurance (e.g., coverage against flood, wind, and earthquake). Monitoring workload and/or performance of subordinates or team members. Collaborating with internal and/or external partners to improve the efficiency of programs or operations.
