You will serve as an Automotive Equipment Dispatcher in the Southwest Region Fleet Transporation, G4 Logistics of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will provide support to the MCRD dispatch office as well as coordinate transportation activity with other regional activities.
You will dispatch a variety of vehicles to meet specific work requirements, issue trip tickets, maintain inputs into the fleet management information system, and perform transportation clerical support.
You will communicate and coordinate with the maintenance section to schedule vehicles for preventative maintenance services.
You will monitor phones, email traffic, and the automated fleet management information system to ensure effective communication with customers, motor vehicle operators, other region dispatchers, and other personnel.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing the full range of dispatching duties in compliance with standardized transportation regulations, procedures, operations, and federal and state laws, policies and procedures related to the fleet management function; 2) Coordinating dispatch actions and resolving recurring problems by understanding the characteristics and capacity of the available transportation equipment inventory; 3) Ensuring dispatching duties are performed in compliance with established vehicle safety rules, regulations, and guidance; and 4) Utilizing an automated transportation database to input standard information to maintain dispatch logs and records.
