About the position: This position will be assigned to the Club on Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia. The purpose of this position is to perform the cooking of a wide variety of menu items. Physical Effort: Frequently lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds, constant standing and walking, and occasionally lifting over 40 pounds. Continual standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing and bending. This is a flexible position which means you may work between 0-40 hours per week.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
• This position may require the incumbent to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of food preparation principles and characteristics of food, and of planning processes to ensure entire meals are prepared and cooked on time. Must be able to perform yield testing to determine portion cost and to adjust ingredients in standardized recipes. Must have knowledge of procedures to order, issue and store food. Experience and knowledge must have been gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
