About the Position: This Engineering Technician is located at White Sands Test Center, Materiel Test Dir (Socorro) with duty location of Stallion Range Center, White Sands Missile Range, NM.

Duties

Coordinating meetings with professional/scientific personnel to discuss topics such as test requirements, test procedures, exchange ideas and make recommendations Prepare the Operating Test Plan for the test assigned, coordinates the test plan with other participating agencies, and establishes a schedule for testing Serve as test conductor, test coordinator, test team leader, and mission controller of assigned major systems or subsystems Renders technical assistance in the overall planning of operations which include planning and scheduling work to be accomplished within established priorities Coordinate Operations requirements with contractor, manned and unmanned aircraft organization, NR Project Engineer, and missile and ground safety personnel Initiate appropriate action during actual test operations utilizing knowledge of NR operations, contractor operations, MTD operations, potential problem areas

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
  • This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 25% travel away from duty station required
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually
