You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, CODE 900 of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
Duties
You will provide working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies, working knowledge of Navy shipboard Combat and Electronic Systems, Calibration lab processes and associated maintenance.
You will be responsible for technical and repair support processes and services for diverse and complex shipboard electrical equipment.
You will manage the Product Family comprised of multiple repair work centers (codes).
You will plan work to be accomplished, set priorities and approve work schedules.
You will manage finances, productivity and process improvements utilizing to ensure proper use of resources and budget.
You will maintain liaison with maintenance managers and other maintenance centers, private contractors and equipment manufacturers for coordination of effort and mutual logistics support.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and evaluating ship maintenance production work and resources to develop and implement plans to improve production delays, scheduling conflicts or material shortages during repair or overhaul maintenance projects.
