You will serve as a LEAD FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the RESOURCES MANAGEMENT/COMPTROLLER DEPT (N8) of NETPDC.
Duties
You will contact customers to obtain information for financial documents.
You will use software applications (e.g., Microsoft [MS] Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, or similar software) to conduct research, capture data, or create
financial reports.
You will draft financial correspondence to internal and external personnel.
You will present financial or cost reports to managers.
You will instruct employees, supervisors, or financial specialists on financial related rules, regulations, and procedures.
You will file financial records for future reference.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of financial management regulations, practices, procedure, and policies to technical work performed in support of accounting, budget, or other related financial management work; 2) Utilizing automated systems in support of financial management work; 3) Identifying and analyzing causes of discrepancies in various accounting, budget and/or financial management support assignments; 4) Making corrections to identified problems by researching and applying specific rules, regulations and procedures; and 4) Managing workload, setting priorities, and amending workflow for employees in order to accomplish work goals.
