About the Position: You will serve as an editor for the U.S. Army Audit Agency (USAAA) for assigned audit reports and other projects as directed by the supervisory editor and falling under the Principal Deputy Auditor General (PDAG).
Duties
Edit draft and final reports for consistency of mechanics and expression.
Ensure complex technical subject matter and abstract concepts and ideas are presented in clear, unambiguous terms.
Post final reports and supporting documents to document database.
Analyze content, organization, and written presentation in draft and final audit reports.
Ensure report packages are complete before publishing.
Organize reports in terms of sentences, paragraphs, and sections for final publication.
Ensure reports comply with auditing standards.
Rewrite portions of audit reports to ensure appropriate presentation of material.
Assist in creating well-written and organized reports and briefs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain an INTERIM Top Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain a fully adjudicated Top Secret security clearance during employment.
- Must successfully complete initial pre-employment urinalysis exam prior to employment and random urinalysis exams during employment.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service which includesensure reports comply with auditing standards; assist with disseminate of auditing policy; and assist with writing issues throughout organization.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
