You will serve as an Administrative Assistant (OA) in the Command Pay/Personnel Administration of CNATT UNIT JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will carefully review personnel documents and information to ensure all forms are properly completed, all required documentation and attachments are provided to be sufficient to resolve the transaction.
You will escalate issues to appropriate leadership levels of the command (TRIAD), TSC, RSC, MNCC, or NP2 should problems occur that you cannot resolve.
You will serve as the primary customer service link between command personnel and the servicing Transaction Service Center (TSC), Regional Support Center (RSC), My Navy Career Center (MNCC), and Navy Personnel and Pay (NP2)
You will prepare a wide variety of correspondence, reports, records, and documents.
You will provide support and assistance by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of governing rules, regulations, and other guidelines; provide guidance and instructions on format, content, and related requirements.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- You will be required to complete Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA) training and prerequisite courses within 90 days and maintain currency of all CPPA training directed after designation.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer systems (i.e. Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Defense Travel System (DTS) and other Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) systems or civilian equivalent related systems); 2) Safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) while coordinating, preparing and verifying personnel documents and information in accordance with policies and standards; 3) Providing a full range of clerical, administrative, typing and customer service support for Staff and Students.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
