This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, G-3, Force Development Division, Resource Management Branch, Arlington, VA.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C.
Duties
Focus is on problems which are very difficult, broad in scope, quantitative, and have significant resource implications.
Analyze proposed reorganizations and realignment of functions.
Evaluate proposed table of distribution and allowances/ table of operation and equipment (TDA/TOE changes to determine agreement with current mission and functions, structure, and resource management decisions.

ndividual Occupational Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Degree Bachelor's or higher: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. (NOTE: Must submit all transcripts)
Addition to meeting the Basic Requirements above you must also meet the specialized experience below.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Evaluate a variety of statistical studies in the areas of readiness, equipping management/programs, work processes and productivity improvement; propose changes to resourcing and policy to meet mission requirements; develop requirement justifications; develop resource reports on equipment and training resourcing.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above]).
