This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD. Duties

You will perform chemical and physical testing on samples received at the laboratory according to all requirements and guidelines provided by standard operating procedures. You will ensure that fuel impurity levels are within safety limitations. You will provide quality control and inspection services for all products received, stored, issued, or transferred at the Area of Responsibility (AOR). You will keep designated laboratory work areas stock with adequate supply of reagents and solvents. You will maintain records of all tests performed, both written and electronic.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Conducting and analyzing a wide variety of chemical and physical tests while applying physical science principles and methodologies; 2) Providing quality control and inspection services; and 3) Assisting with corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment to support readiness of operating units. Education

In lieu on specialized experience, you may qualify with the following educaiton:

One full year of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-7. This education must be related directly to the work of the position.
