This position is located in Sumner, MS at Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument, in the Facility Management Division. This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Performs as a working leader. Demonstrates proper work methods and works along with others to set a work pace. Checks work in progress and upon completion. Ensures safety and housekeeping rules are followed. Non-supervisory work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related fixtures and utilities. Makes electrical repairs. AREA INFORMATION: The town of Sumner, nestled in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, is a town with a rich history and a vibrant community spirit. Despite its modest size, Sumner has played a significant role in shaping the cultural fabric of the region. Sumner serves as one of the two county seats of Tallahatchie County. Its location on the west side of the county, along the meandering Tallahatchie River, adds to its charm. The Mississippi Delta, often referred to as simply "the Delta," is a vast and vital part of the American landscape. Stretching from southern Illinois to the southeastern tip of Louisiana, it covers more than 90,000 miles of rivers and streams and over 3 million acres of land. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT) Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic).
