About the position: This position will be assigned to the Delta Breeze Event Center on Travis Air Force Base, CA.
Intermittent (Flexible) employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week.
Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center.
Tuition assistance after one year!
Duties
Operates a full service bar.
Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate.
Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability. Accepts money, operates a cash register, and makes change.
May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Must meet state and legal age (21) requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages; experience in cash handling procedures; experience demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, possess skill in dealing with the public.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
