The primary purpose of this position, Tools and Parts Attendant Lead, WL-6904-06 is to lead three or more tools and parts attendants in keeping stocks of tools, hazardous material and parts used by shop employees in their work and to issue items to the shop employees when they need them, keeping track of whereabouts of items and monitoring returns.
Duties
Serve as Team Leader. Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated into the team's strategic, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Support operations in the performance of inventories.
Perform a leadership role in the complete range of duties on assigned task.
Maintain catalogs and initiate supply actions.
Utilize and enforce safety, security, and fire procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

- Position may require Temporary Duty travel by government or commercial means IAW with Joint Travel Regulations.
- May be required to work day, swing, or grave shift(s).
- May be required to act as the primary or alternate equipment custodian.
- May be required to build and mark tool/parts kits.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-6900 Warehousing And Stock Handling Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Works on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries weights up to 10 pounds. May occasionally handle items weighing up to 40 pounds. May lift heavier items with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally done in areas that are well lighted, heated, and ventilated. The attendant may occasionally work in areas that are drafty. The work is sometimes dirty, dusty, and greasy. The attendant is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
