Duties

Provides administrative support functions to the Regulatory Section/Branch. Serves as the primary contact and source of information for administrative tasks. Applies a broad knowledge of the Regulatory Program in responding to general and specific visitor inquiries and other requests, or directs them to the appropriate source. Evaluates needs of the Section/Branch and plans, researches, and purchases supplies and equipment. Ensures records in the Section/Branch are maintained. Prepares travel orders. Serves as the timekeeper for the Section/Branch. Plans, schedules, and executes training for Section/Branch staff.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain possession of or ability to acquire a valid state driver's license.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Minimum Qualifications for the GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes permit applications, compliance, and/or enforcement cases for activities in water resources and/or navigable waters within the regulatory authority of the Clean Water Act and the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
