About the Position:Incumbent works in the Visual Information Directorate of The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, U.S. Army (TJAGLCS), under the supervision of the Visual Information Manager. Applies practical knowledge of a wide range of technical engineering methods,principles, and requirements to install, maintain, operate, and test and advise on issues or problems with audiovisual equipment and systems throughout TJAGLCS.
Duties
Performs component and systems maintenance services on video production and presentation hardware and associated automation systems.
Troubleshoots technical problems with or without the benefit of written guides or manufacturer’s support manuals.
Performs installation, alignment, and routine calibration of complex combinations of equipment into configurations designed to accomplish specific Visual Audio functions.
Provides help-desk and immediate technical support to classroom instructional delivery systems for faculty and staff.
Sets up mobile recording, presentation, and display equipment in seminar and conference rooms throughout the School.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has an occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes installing and maintaining audiovisual equipment and systems; and Assisting in the designing/engineering and installing of (VI) Visual Audio and (AV) audiovisual systems in support of the organization; and operating and maintaining all hardware and software for faculty and students.
