Duty Location: Yuma, Arizona
Duties

Full time telework and remote work not available; housing not provided.
Process the incoming and YAO mail; accept, sort and box the incoming U.S. Mail and shipments via the other carriers according to Mail Services, the Postal Service and the other carriers guidelines
Process and conform all outgoing mail and shipments; process the outgoing mail through the Postal Service; accept, calculate and apply postage for domestic mail, international mail and special mail services
Responsible for ordering/maintaining mailing supplies, daily incoming/outgoing mail and packages, oversees commercial mailing activity
Determines the proper classification of materials to be filled in accordance with the prescribed classification system
Performs variety of records management duties including receiving records, assigning record classification per the Information Management Handbook and Department Records Schedule, entering records into the electronic record management system, record searches, and retrieves records per requests
Inputs file information into Reclamation's Electronic Document System (REDS) and ECS
Manage a purchase card, make purchases, reconcile purchase card and fleet cards
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education or specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in obtaining and providing a variety of services for an organization, and/or maintaining records, and entering information into a database, and/or providing mail services (routing incoming mail/sending outgoing mail). You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having 4 years above high school. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-05 grade level. Applicants must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted.
