The primary purpose of this position is to: Serve as the Squadron Superintendent with responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor to the Commander on matters related to the morale, welfare, professional development, and effective utilization of intelligence, communications and maintenance professionals across the Squadron.

Duties
1. Key advisor to Squadron Commander on training, administrative, and personnel functions of the ISR/ISS Squadron(s). Serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the Commander on matters related to the morale, welfare, professional development and effective utilization of intelligence, communications, and maintenance professionals across the Squadron.
2. Plans, organizes, and oversees the training, administrative and, personnel activities of the ISR Squadron and directs the day-to-day operations of the Command Section. Serves as the focal point for the management and execution of enlisted training, administrative, and personnel functions on the implementation of policies by the Squadron Commander.
3. Represents HQ AFRC, NAF, Wing, ISR Group, and ISR Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with Commanders, Managers, Supervisors, other senior officials, HQ AFRC, Air Staff, and officials from the gaining major commands and DoD and national level agencies.
4. Ensures ISR training and readiness for the Squadron. Oversees the development of operational plans, standard operating procedures, and implementing instructions, which pertain to general military training and readiness of assigned unit personnel, ISR, and command center communications training.

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
*********THIS IS AN AIR RESERVE TECHNICIAN (ART) POSITION***********
ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the Air Force (AF0 Reserve unit where assigned). ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency. 1N000- CMSgt (E9)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of analytical techniques, organization of the national intelligence structure: organization of designated military forces; geography; reporting principles and procedures; effective writing principles; directives for handling, disseminating, and safeguarding classified defense information; the principles, concepts, and methodology of the intelligence career field such that it permits independent performance of recurring assignments that are somewhat complex; knowledge of a wide range of analytical principles, concepts, and practices relevant to the intelligence career field typically gained through work experience. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Must be fully qualified and experienced senior intelligence enlisted employee having operational experience in at least two of the following intelligence disciplines: HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination.
2. Knowledge of HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of national, DoD, and U.S. Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures relating to ISR activities. Must be highly knowledgeable in the capabilities, limitations, and techniques for employment of ISR platforms.
4. Develops and articulates strategy and actions to successfully implement the vision of the work unit that is consistent with organization's goals.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct ISR administrative, training, and personnel functions and mentors and motivates enlisted staff. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to prepare reports, interface with high levels of management, negotiate complex issues; and maintains good working relationships.
6. Proven ability to build and sustain professional networks to exchange information with mission critical offices, inside AFRC, other MAJCOMs, and Air Force in overall planning and execution of ISR operations and evaluations.
OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS PERTAINING TO THIS POSITION:
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
