Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Conducts in-depth studies including developing policies and plans for public health and medical preparedness and response and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ESF 8 andESF14.
Engages in dialogue with key stakeholders at all levels in various agencies to promote a unified approach to public health emergency preparedness, national health security, and other policies addressing emerging threats.
Designs and conducts comprehensive response and preparedness projects and studies where the boundaries of the projects/studies are extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance.
Provide leadership and guidance to logistics teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following:
Providing technical and administrative support to the leadership and staff, including assisting with planning, developing procedures, and instructions for managing the supply management program. Advising leadership on issues related to the division's logistics program, encompassing both long- and short-term plans;
Determining the best approach or solution for resolving technical and complex issues relative to public health emergencies, national health security or biodefense-managed programs and/or projects;
Developing policies that are used as authority in an organization; and
Providing expert advice and consultation on laws, regulations, etc., that pertain to public health emergencies or national health security.
