About the Position: This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Ensure quality controls are in place to ensure effectiveness of training, training development throughout departments. Evaluate results and trend analysis in planning and developing new training methods. Conduct research to predict effectiveness and efficiency of training, and relevance of training products. Identify training and development needs, deficiencies and resource requirements to improve training Provide advice and consultation to customers on the evaluation of educational applications. Conduct proponent self-assessments in accordance with accreditation guidelines. Develop experimental programs related to quality assurance in the evaluation of external and internal programs.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: serving as a training developer, instructor, and/or training management specialist involved in the area of training/education evaluation and educational methodology; conducting assessments of training/education, against accreditation standards such as, the Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards to ensure training needs are met, as well as the quality of training; training development; training support; and staff and faculty; and researching, analyzing, developing, and preparing documents and report regarding training development, implementation, product efficiency and effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum DevelopmentDecision MakingEducation / Training Program AdministrationEducational and Training TechnologyInstructional DesignLeadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
