About the Position: The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY is an academic institution located in the Hudson River Valley, 50 miles from New York City. The historic site is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. West Point is a self-contained city with housing, a Department of Public Works, libraries, hospital, fire department, chapels, and restaurants. Duties

Provide broad guidance on the management and execution of US Military Academy (USMA) and US Commandant of Cadets (USCC)'s mission, special projects, programs, and the training of Cadets annually. Provide oversight on the day-to-day operations of the Corps of Cadets consisting of 4 Regiments and a Headquarters element that supports the Brigade Tactical Department. Plan, schedule, and execute projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of organizational and mission effectiveness Serve as the principal assessment and disciplinary authority as well as the continuity for the Brigade Tactical Department (BTD), USCC. Plan, develop, and implement policies and programs supporting the leadership development and evaluation of the United States Corps of Cadets. Analyze regulatory materials published by higher headquarters to determine the impact upon programs throughout the Brigade. Establish execution procedures for Cadet training requirements. Prepare briefings for the BTD, as well as visiting military and civilian dignitaries in reference to leader development programs. Responsible for oversight of the BTD for the USMA accreditation initiative. Serve as BTD representative on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the USMA Academic Scheduling Committee. Serve as the senior BTD civilian supervisor, a first-line supervisor, exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities.
