You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) and Effects Deployment Office (FXDO) program of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, located in PATUXENT RIVER, MD
Duties
You will assist in the development and periodic updates of all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documents.
You will collect, analyze, interpret, and develop specialized information for weapon system related test and support equipment.
You will develop, install, inspect, or revise equipment maintenance programs and techniques based on a practical knowledge of the equipment, including its design, production, operational, and maintenance requirements.
You will assist those that develop training programs for Fleet personnel by assisting in review, revising, update training programs including training plans, training courseware and training aides.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1). Performing logistics support and technical assistance in regards to product support/sustainment, system safety and addressing fleet/stakeholder issues and concerns; 2). Utilizing commercial and organic repair activities knowledge to schedule and track progression of gun system maintenance, repair, and upkeep; 3). Managing logistics readiness and inventory status of a weapon system and associated equipment; 4). Utilizing knowledge of logistics documentation to create and update; 5). Assisting those that develop training programs for Fleet personnel by assisting in review, revising, and updating training programs, including training plans, training courseware, and training aides.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
