Serves as a staff Writer-Editor within the Office of the Chief Counsel, Office of Operations and Legal Support (AGC-10), Legal Communications Team.

Duties

Serves as a member of the Legal Communications Team responsible for the development and review of a variety of high-profile communications which establish, change, modify, explain, and/or defend organizational policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

  • This Level 5 (Moderate Risk; Public Trust) position requires favorable adjudication of a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) background investigation prior to appointment unless a waiver is obtained.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FV-H, FG/GS-12) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as: Experience developing written communication products to address a variety of technical editing and proofreading matters; andExperience conducting independent research to identify and provide needed context for document preparation.You should include relevant examples of this experience in your work history.
