About the position: This position will be assigned to the Dyess Child Development Center .
This position is considered Regular Full-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. You are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement.
Duties
Provides clerical support and technical administration of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Program for Family Child Care (FCC), the Child Development Center (CDC) and the School Age Program (SAP). Coordinates USDA registration with base agencies and state officials relative to provider availability, children's availability, and administrative charges. Calculates monthly reimbursement and disbursements to meet established USDA deadlines. Conducts quality review of financial documents for completeness and validity. Issues USDA rules and processes to new providers and regular program participants during orientations, during formal quarterly sessions, and as needed. Conducts announced and unannounced inspections of FCC homes, CDC, and SA programs for the USDA food program.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in responsible administrative, clerical, or office work that demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of this position. Must have sufficient experience in accounting, to be able to calculate monthly reimbursement and disbursements.
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
The ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is desirable.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Must be able to read, speak, and write English.
Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
Experience in using computer software and various software programs in which the applicant completed and maintained documents.
Must have a valid state driver's license must be obtained and maintained; a good driving record may be required as a condition of employment.
Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.
Must have First Aid and CPR certifications or complete requirements within 6 months of employment.
This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases
Pre-employment physical and proof of required immunizations are required.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
