THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP. This National Guard position is for a INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (COORDINATOR), Position Description Number PDD2896000 and is part of the Mississippi National Guard.

Duties

As a INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (COORDINATOR), GS-1801-10, you will serve as The Inspection System of the Air Force analyst for the IG, managing the Self-Assessment program, providing feedback to FAMs on checklist quality, and compiling information from Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT), Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS), Inspector General Evaluation Management System - Classified (IGEMS-C), and all current automated systems, to ensure wing/squadron/flight commanders, the wing IG, and inspectors have all required information for directing the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP).

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. MILITARY MEMBERS WITH BONUSES: Upon acceptance of a military technician position military members who are currently receiving a military Reenlistment/Extension Bonus (REB) or GI Bill-SR Kicker may lose incentive eligibility and may be subject to termination or suspension of incentive (includes indefinite and temporary technicians on assignment for more than 180 days in any continuous 12-month period). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of the following six basic qualification competencies: Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; Knowledgeable of applicable laws, directives, regulations, policies, and procedures; Ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communications; Skilled interpersonal communications, empathy, and effective listening; Ability to write English in reports and presentation formats; Ability to communicate -orally and in writing- clearly and effectively; Ability to organize thoughts, research materials, and manage case projects; and Skilled in comprehending and interpreting directives and laws. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 30 months of expert knowledge in technical inspection methods, principles and practices in order to recognize and resolve discrepancies. Experienced in modifying established approaches, methods, or procedures to improve data gathering and analysis techniques. Experienced in working with pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of the Inspector General Programs. Experienced in military command structures, missions, programs, and organizational relationships. Experienced in developing inspector general program goals and objectives. Experienced in establishing the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions, as related to actual events. Knowledgeable and skilled in working various command entities involved in overall planning and execution of operations, inspections, and evaluations. Skilled in designing and planning difficult or comprehensive programs, advanced report writing, and experienced in developing solutions to portions of broad, important, and critical National Guard concerns, issues, or congressional matters. Skilled in the ability to plan, organize, and develop projects; make recommendations on substantive operating programs; and negotiate effectively with others to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial resources. Experienced in adapting precedents or existing strategies to meet unusual needs, special demands, and determine feasible solutions to meet mission requirements. Experienced in addressing issues, problems or concepts and skilled in observations and analysis projections. Experiences may have included addressing difficult and sensitive issues based on variations in the nature of the processes evaluated, the diverse missions of the units assigned, and resource limitations. Experienced in compiling, reconciling, and correlating data from a various source, separate service programs, and integral record systems. Experienced in researching, cross-checking information, analyzing, and interpreting data to obtain accurate and relevant information. Skilled in presenting recommendations and proposals for refining work methods and techniques for resolution of deficiencies or issues. Skilled in productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations. Skilled in analyzing uncommon and conventional problems in service activities. NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a.
