This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Denver - Plant Engineering Division. As a Industrial Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will be technically responsible for dismantling, repairing, relocating, modifying, maintaining, aligning, and installing of fixed and semi-fixed production machinery, equipment, and systems used in the production of coins. Another major responsibility is ensuring the proper operation of facility systems.
Duties
As a Industrial Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Plan and schedule work, sequence of operations, manpower, equipment, materials, and tools on a day-to-day, project-by-project, and month-to-month basis for the overall use of subordinate personnel.
Establishe deadlines, priorities, and work assignments based on general work requirements, methods, and Mint policies as set by the supervisor. Redirects individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work. Informs supervisor about the need to revise work schedules and to re-estimate labor and other resources.
Determine number and types of employees needed to accomplish projects. Coordinates work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.
Participate in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and makes recommendations for scheduling projected work.
Explain work requirements, methods and procedures to subordinates; provides advice when problems arise. Investigates work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes.
