About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Engineering Technician and is a technical advisor overseeing inspection and installation acceptance of construction projects and service contracts involving multiple engineering disciplines and complex military major and minor construction.

Duties

As a Supervisory Engineering Technician, you will be perform the following duties: Supervise staff of 8 employees that include Engineering Technicians and Construction Representatives Develop plans and establish procedures to increase production, improve techniques and reduce the cost of operations. Administer the installation Job Order Contracting Program. Makes assignments to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty, the requirements of work and the capabilities of the employees. Review, accepts, amend or rejects work. Review plans and specifications for bid-ability and construct-ability providing detailed written comments. Ensure proper quality and quantity of materials and equipment; timeliness of effort; adequacy of contractor's methods and operations and that all work is carried out IAW contract documents.

Requirements

  • One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • A Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 is required upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station.
