You will serve as a PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR I in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will direct work priorities, project schedules, and detailed work plans to meet pipefitting production requirements. You will determine resource requirements for scheduled pipefitting maintenance work to plan work assignments. You will recommend changes to work sequences to accomplish production pipefitting work in a timely manner. You will maintain business relationships with internal and external customers to coordinate and expedite efforts on pipefitting production work activities.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is:1) Setting the work-pace; passing on instructions received from supervisors; assigning tasks to be performed; 2) Performing maintenance and repair of the mechanical utility distribution systems; 3) Assisting with cost estimates of material and equipment to accomplish projects; 4) Providing advice or instruction to employees on work or administrative matters; or supporting Equal Employment Opportunity principles and practices.
