You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Miniature and Micro-miniature (2M & Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Certifications Branch Code 212, Engineering Support Division Code 210, Engineering Department Code 200, Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will manage and monitor the team schedules and assign technician proficiency evaluations to be conducted by team members with the client.
You will arrange and conduct arrival briefs, daily brief and exist brief with client management.
You will review documentation and plans, perform onsite assessments, and certifies conformance for new laboratories or facilities.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating Navy Metrology Calibration (METCAL) concepts, principles, practices and theories obtained from and coupled with extensive METCAL (i.e. mechanical/electronic) experience.
Experience utilizing environmental measuring equipment.
Experience demonstrating regulations, procedures, policies and training concepts established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology regarding the field of calibration required by the Navy.
Experience utilizing the METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS).
Experience interpreting calibration procedures, engineering drawings and schematics.
Experience conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expresses thoughts persuasively and uses effective modes to reinforce message retention.
Experience demonstrating ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote issues concerning specific and general NAVSEA METCAL issues before a wide range of Navy audiences.
