You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the Business Management Department of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. #LI-NAVSUPBSC

Duties

You will create design concepts for projects and consult customers, other employees, and external partners for assistance as necessary. You will develop original designs, concepts, or visual styles for publications, exhibits, and presentation materials by interpreting the subject matter and providing recommendations. You will advise management on the technical formatting, styles, and media requirements and recommend the best course of action to meet objectives. You will work individually and with groups to provide presentation services during special events, ceremonies, meetings, and conferences. You will use a variety of software and hardware to create both digital and physical projects.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector designing, writing, developing, implementing, and manufacturing original and supplied information into comprehensive campaign materials to disseminate information about organizational programs to internal and external audiences. Your resume should also demonstrate experience producing printed materials, audiovisual media, and exhibits, digital and physical presentations. Your resume should also demonstrate experience evaluating information and overcoming design challenges in communicating, while creating products for a variety of audiences. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Providing design and presentation services during special events, ceremonies, meetings, and confrences; 2) Designing and coordinating oral presentation enhancements to external customers, internal personnel, and internal awards and certificates; 3) Using graphic design and visual information knowledge and skills to assist with work space layouts and other practical and logistical requirements; 4) Preparing presentation materials, including color and material boards. Experience must be in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position being filled. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.
