This announcement is for 2 vacancies. One will be in Portland, Oregon and the other in Vancouver, Washington. This position is in the Headquarters Audit Department (CNH) and Vancouver Audit Department (CNV) organizations in Internal Audit (CN) within Compliance, Audit and Risk (C), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The selectee in this position will perform developmental work assignments as Student Trainee (Auditing) and will prepare for a career in the auditing professional field.

Qualifications

Your educational goals must include obtaining a professional degree in accounting, auditing; or a degree including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. GS-04: To qualify, you must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study OR an associate's degree. (1 full academic year is equivalent to 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours.) GS-05: To qualify, you must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school education leading to a bachelor's degree OR a bachelor's degree. GS-07: To qualify, you must have completed 1 full academic year of graduate level education; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree. Note: 1 full academic year is equivalent to 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Education

You must submit a copy of your current transcripts for proof of education and enrollment. If you are not currently enrolled but have been accepted for future enrollment you must submit a copy of your acceptance letter with your application.

NOTE: This Pathways Internship will have a tentative start date in January/February 2025 and you must be a current student at that time.

Earlier start dates are possible; however, if you graduate before January/February 2025, you will not be eligible for this Pathways Internship Program Internship, unless you are pursuing further education in which you will need to provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into a degree or certificate seeking program with your application.

Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Foreign education must be reviewed by an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
