The primary purpose of this position EDUCATION AND TRAINING TECHNICIAN, NH-1702-02, is to serve as a test administer for the organization, responsible for providing support to a team of who are tasked with achieving mission requirements through efficient and effective management of military testing, training, and systems management function.

Duties

-Assist as the focal point for the installation's compliance with directives involving the correct administration and control of tests to all eligible personnel and advisement of such personnel regarding test application toward civilian college degree programs and Air Force career goals. -Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the organization, ensuring that manpower, personnel, force development/education and training related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. -Participate in special manpower, personnel, force development/education and training related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. -Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year (52 weeks) of which is equivalent to the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. General experience describes ad the basic knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Applicants must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed education above the high school level and specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is primarily sedentary. May require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting of light items such as paper or books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
