Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Business Integration Office located in Washington, DC.
This position is being advertised as both location negotiable after selection and with a duty station(s) of Lakewood, CO and Reston, VA with the option of telework. If applying to "negotiable after selection", this means that your duty station will be based off your home address and you will be a full-time remote worker. If applying to a specific duty station, you may be allowed to telework a set number of day(s) per pay period, with supervisory approval".
At the full performance level GS-13 the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Serves as Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs) bureau security administrator, to ensure system security access, responsibilities, and user profiles meet the requirements of the bureau, allowing program offices to use their system roles to most efficiently perform their duties.
2) Coordinates FBMS security and operational activities and communicates with FBMS end users and stakeholders, including but not limited to departmental offices, DOI bureaus and the BIO. Stakeholders include new employees, managers, political appointees, senior level management and FBMS system owners.
3) Communicates system access and information to bureau Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for accounting periods and coordinates business and accounting information. Coordinates and facilitates system activities with SMEs for year end and year begin activities. Works with SMEs across multiple functional areas (acquisition, budget, finance, fleet and property) to review system roles.
4) Analyzes functional and technical issues, anticipates potential problems, and coordinates feasible solutions with bureau stakeholders to proactively address identified problems. Communicates system issues and status with appropriate bureau stakeholders.
5) Uses FBMS to pull custom reports and analyze custom reports to support security or special project efforts.
6) Conducts report training for new users.
7) Performs special projects related to the FBMS system.
8) Effectively and efficiently responds to help desk tickets and end user requests via a shared mailbox and communicates issues and project updates to team in a timely manner.
Salary Information
GS-13: $114,970 - $149,465 per annum (Lakewood, CO)
GS-13: $117,962 - $153,354 per annum (Reston, VA)
GS-13: $103,409 -$134,435 (Rest of US)
First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.
This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series to which you are applying.
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: Must meet all.
1. Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs) with focus on two or more of the following business processes: security processing or role assignment, maintaining system access controls, authoring separation of duties system controls justification, developing system implementation plans for revised business practices, conducting system testing, implementing system improvements, or other finance related functions.
2. Performing one or more of the following: authoring system processing documents, presenting or developing system training, pulling custom reports from a system and providing analysis of reports.
3. Communicating complex requirements to non-technical personnel and/or prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex and controversial system issues; and
4. Providing project updates to bureau teams and staff in the operations, maintenance and enhancement of the financial and business management aspects of the enterprise wide system to meet project milestones and objectives.
