You will serve as a TECHNICAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (WEB SERVICES) in the Dudley Knox Library of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will oversee the continual evaluation of the Dudley Knox Library's web presence; facilitate and coordinate communication among library staff in the development of web-based content and services.
You will coordinate the integration of new features and technologies in the library's web presence.
You will develop and maintain library web-based information systems.
You will assist in managing library technology resources, including hardware and software.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following basic requirements from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards:
You have completed a full 4-year course of study that meets all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in library science, information management, or another closely related field. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETE COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS OR AN ITEMIZED LIST OF COLLEGE COURSES WHICH INCLUDES EQUIVALENT INFORMATION FROM THE TRANSCRIPT.
or
You possess at least four years of experience that provided knowledge of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, and terminology of a discipline or subject-matter field and an understanding of the standard methods, procedures, and techniques of research and analysis in the subject-matter field. The subject matter fields for this position are library science, information management or another closely related field. Such experience must have been equivalent to that which would have been gained through a 4-year college curriculum.

You have a combination of education as described above and experience as described above.
In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants must meet the following Specialized Experience:
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing automated and web-based applications in an academic environment; 2) Utilizing statistical analysis tools to evaluate website usage and improve web design; and 3) Troubleshooting computer software and hardware.
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using automated and web-based systems in an academic environment; 2) Utilizing knowledge in current web design and information architecture practices; and 3) Providing customer service and demonstrating ability to effectivity communicate both orally and written.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For GS-11:
Acompleted three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education
OR
Received a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree) directly related to the position

have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
